Birth as a Family Event ~ Through the Eyes of a Child
"Through the Eyes of a Child” a video produced by Naoli Vinaver - Mexican midwife. It is the first in a 3 part series which will include: “Re signifying Birth for the Feminine Lineage” and “The Inclusion of the Masculine in Birth”.
This 27 min video, narrated in english (subtitles in Spanish, Portuguese and French) explores the importance of children understanding, participating and celebrating in the processes of gestation and the birth of their siblings, presented through short interviews, story-telling, illustrations, video-clips and photographs. In addition the video features the colorful illustrated short children's educational film “How Did I Come to Life” which Naoli produced in 2007. In this film a child asks his mother “how did I come to life?”. The video lovingly and sweetly unfolds the answer in a beautiful story for the child to unveil the mystery of love, sexuality and birth in the magical endless cycle of life itself. This video is an ode to life, deeply honoring the intelligence and sensibility of children understanding and participating in the most important journey of life...birth!
